The wedding and reception were held at Renee’s in Paducah, KY.
The day Emma and Kyle got married the weather station predicted 80% chance for thunderstorm. Even I was prepared – I purchased a camera raincoat just for the occasion. But on that same day the sun decided to be on our side. It turned out to be a beautiful day for a beautiful wedding at A Touch of Nature in Makanda, IL. Followed by a great reception at Camp Ondessonk in the Shawnee National Forest in southern Illinois. Kyle and Emma live in St. Louis but they chose Camp Ondessonk for their reception since that’s where it all started…where they first met.
Below are just a few of my favorite photos of the wedding. You can view the whole event and order prints HERE.
Other folks who helped make Kyle and Emma’s wedding beautiful: The Cakery Bakery (www.thecakerybakery.net), the wonderfully talented Lynn O’Brien (www.lynnobrienmusic.com), Ven Phommaly who designed their invitations, Woodland Belle (http://www.woodlandbelle.com/), Paper & Silk (http://www.etsy.com/shop/papersilkmade) and Charity Designs (http://designsbycharity.com/) for accessories, and many more!
This is where it all started – Camp Ondessonk, where Kyle and Emma first met. I really enjoyed my visit there. Not only did I get to photograph this wonderful couple, I also got to hear their story and a tour of the place. I can’t wait to be at their wedding in May, and to be back at the camp for their reception.
A quick preview of Jordan and Erin’s engagement session yesterday at Walker’s Bluff in Carterville, IL. It was probably around 41 degrees and Jordan and Erin made it look like it was Spring – thank goodness for the wonderful staff who started the bonfire for us. Unfortunately, I won’t be photographing their wedding as they are headed to Mexico sometime in the Summer to get married.
